Draco read through the Daily Prophet, finding that the more he went through it, the angrier he became. He couldn't believe that there hadn't been a single article written about the project in months. His thoughts were that it was his duty to take care of his own publicity. He remembered reading an article a while back that stirred up a fair bit of controversy. That's what was really needed. He needed something to get out to the public to let them know what they were doing was important.

He needed his own reporter. He was also aware that the writer of the controversial article could be helpful to him. Maybe it was time he bought a journalist for his own means. It never hurt to have someone like that in your pocket. He shook the thought off, fearing that it was something his father would do to further his own means. Instead he turned to enlisting this person's help for Hogwarts, not his own gains.

Draco moved to the desk in front of the window and began writing.

Mr. Smith,

First, I would just like to tell you that I have enjoyed several of your pieces these last few months. I found them to be insightful and with the right amount of steam to catch the eye of the public. You truly have a gift for weaving a story with just a few words.

Second, I was just wondering if you knew about the project that it going on at Hogwarts? The reason I ask is that what we're doing, I and everyone involved believes, that it is very important for the people of the Wizarding World to recover. I think that once people see that things can be rebuilt and repaired it will be for the best of everyone.

This brings me to the reason for the letter. I was hoping that I could persuade you to write a few articles about the progress we're making. Hogwarts has a few minute details, mainly that of furniture to be taken care of, before it's completed. The next step will be filling its halls with teachers, which we're well on our way to doing now as Blaise Zabini has taken the position as the new Potion's professor. Without you, however, this project may fall to the wayside with the Ministry's reluctance to take it to the people.

If you would like, I can arrange for you to stay at Hekate's Lair in Hogsmede free of charge.

Thank you for your time,

Draco Malfoy

Zach was eating breakfast in his hotel suite when he got the owl. As he read it, a smile played on his lips. Well, well. Draco Malfoy is looking for a writer. Very interesting.

He got out his quill, ink and parchment and penned his response.

Mr. Malfoy,

I can't deny that I was surprised to hear from you. I rather thought a former Hufflepuff, like myself, would be below your notice. Thank you for your kind words about my writing.

I'm intrigued by your offer. Would you be interested in hiring me as a public relations specialist for the Hogwarts project, then? I would like more details on the project and what you're looking for from me before I commit.

I've been thinking about relocating to England, so your offer intrigues me.

Sincerely,
~Zach Smith

When the owl flew through his window, Draco stood up to take the piece of parchment from it.

He smirked at the Hufflepuff comment and thought about hot true that would have been five or six years ago. Things had changed, however. He could converse civily with a Weasley if need be.

Mr. Smith,

The best thing a person can do is to never be predictable. You'd probably be surprised to know that all of the Weasley's are on this project per my request.

What I need is publicity. Good publicity. I want the people of England to know that we're here working to repair the school in an attempt to help repair our lives. When Hogwarts was destroyed it left a hole in everyone working, so I know it probably did the same thing to everyone else. We owe it to our children after He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was destroyed to rebuild and make it better.

What I would need from you is to write stories about how the progress is going. Report on the teachers we'll have. As I said, we already have Blaise Zabini as Potion's professor and it is my goal to have Harry Potter as Defense Against the Dark Arts. I don't take the reconstruction or reopening of Hogwarts lightly. It is a priority for me. My number one priority. I worked on getting this project off the ground for two years before the Ministry finally relented. I need the people to know what we're doing here because it can't be for naught.

This is where you come in. You write the stories. You have free range of topics, just keep in mind that we're here for a good reason. I would like for the stories to be positive. If you would like to discuss this more in person, I'd be happy to set up a meeting and we can discuss it.

Sincerely,
Draco Malfoy

Zach read the owl, impressed. The years since Hogwarts had obviously matured Draco, at least a bit.

Mr. Malfoy,

I'm not surprised, just intrigued. It appears that you are truly devoted to the project. I must admit that this would be quite the challenge, especially with the media blackout that seems to be occurring.

Your dedication to the project is commendable and is one of the angles that could be quite useful to us if I decide to take the project on. The staff is also of great interest to me.

I think that a meeting would be necessary for me to make a final decision. Please let me know when would be a good time for you, as my schedule is more flexible due to working from home.

Sincerely,
~Zach Smith

Draco tapped his quill again the desk and decided that the sooner word got out the better.

Mr. Smith,

I'm actually free tomorrow, if that would be agreeable for you. If you agree to take the job, I'd need you to state immediately and there will be, as I said, a room waiting for you in the hotel.

Thank you,
Draco Malfoy
