Draco read through the Daily Prophet, finding that the more he went through it, the angrier he became. He couldn't believe that there hadn't been a single article written about the project in months. His thoughts were that it was his duty to take care of his own publicity. He remembered reading an article a while back that stirred up a fair bit of controversy. That's what was really needed. He needed something to get out to the public to let them know what they were doing was important.
He needed his own reporter. He was also aware that the writer of the controversial article could be helpful to him. Maybe it was time he bought a journalist for his own means. It never hurt to have someone like that in your pocket. He shook the thought off, fearing that it was something his father would do to further his own means. Instead he turned to enlisting this person's help for Hogwarts, not his own gains.
Draco moved to the desk in front of the window and began writing.
First, I would just like to tell you that I have enjoyed several of your pieces these last few months. I found them to be insightful and with the right amount of steam to catch the eye of the public. You truly have a gift for weaving a story with just a few words.
Second, I was just wondering if you knew about the project that it going on at Hogwarts? The reason I ask is that what we're doing, I and everyone involved believes, that it is very important for the people of the Wizarding World to recover. I think that once people see that things can be rebuilt and repaired it will be for the best of everyone.
This brings me to the reason for the letter. I was hoping that I could persuade you to write a few articles about the progress we're making. Hogwarts has a few minute details, mainly that of furniture to be taken care of, before it's completed. The next step will be filling its halls with teachers, which we're well on our way to doing now as Blaise Zabini has taken the position as the new Potion's professor. Without you, however, this project may fall to the wayside with the Ministry's reluctance to take it to the people.
If you would like, I can arrange for you to stay at Hekate's Lair in Hogsmede free of charge.
Thank you for your time,
