Cho had nearly died laughing when she had seen Fleur abandon the top table when Grahame arrived. She poured a glass of champagne and looked around at who had arrived.
She saw Harry with that Zach boy. Brilliant freelancer by all accounts. She frowned slightly trying to recall some of the articles he had written. Didn't someone say that he had done a lot of work in the Muggle world? Cho sipped at her chamapgne and looked round to see who else had arrived.
"Er, hey, Cho." Ron smiled, a glass of champagne in his hand. "You... look lovely." He had decided that it was best to compliment all the women because he knew exactly how much stress his mother had gone to over her outfit and knew that all the other women had probably gone through the same thing.
Cho noticed the blush and realised that Lavender was right on the mark that something had happened. By all accounts, Charlie wasn't saying a word about it.
"Oh that's good. It sounds like it's been like the feeding of the five thousand at their house over the last few days. Lavender thought that it was just Charlie that ate like a horse but apparently all of the people from the reserves eat like there's no tomorrow. Must be in the job description that they must all have hollow thighs."
"A few of them." Ron nodded towards a group of one of the tables. "Some of them are from the Romanian reserve. Doesn't look like Desi or John are here yet, though." He took another drink of his champagne.
"Yeah, they're alright. I can see why Char gets on with them."
As much as Ron was shocked by what John said about Charlie, there was something about his bluntness that was a bit of a turn-on. Ron tried not to think about that, as it was neither the time nor the place.
Noticing that John's hands were empty, Ron said, "You need a drink. Back in a minute."
